During the MCO (Movement Control Order) in Malaysia, students were unable to practice 24 Festival Drums in schools due to physical restrictions. This made it difficult for drummers to refine their skills and maintain their training routine. Additionally, traditional drumming requires access to physical drums, which are often not available at home. Without regular practice, students struggled with timing, coordination, and maintaining their passion for drumming.
The Solution
Bringing Drumming to Everyone, Anytime.
To tackle this, the 24 Festival Drums App was developed, providing an immersive drumming experience without the need for physical drums. The app integrates AR 3D drum models, allowing users to simulate real drumming visually and interactively. It also features a metronome for structured practice, a recording function to track progress, and a chat room for drummers to engage with the community. By combining technology with tradition, the app ensures that students can continue learning and practicing anywhere, preserving the spirit of 24 Festival Drums even during restrictions.
